5 SIGNS YOU SHOULD QUIT THE GYM

Summer is around the corner and like every other young woman, the pressure is on and the hunt for a decent gym membership is underway.

You don’t need me to tell you the benefits of using the gym as that would be a waste of everyones time but what I am going to tell you is that the Gym is not for everyone and here’s why;

YOU ARE EASILY BORED
It’s not a knock on your character but it happens when you have an active imagination which is why it is important to switch it up. Maybe you are best suited for a morning run outside where you can admire the smell of the fresh air or take a walk on a hiking trail.

YOU HAVE TOO MANY RESPONSIBILITIES 
I’ve had several discussions with Mothers and Career Women who love the idea of losing weight but don’t have time to head over to the gym – It’s just one more thing to add to the list. Want a suggestion, do something active with your kids. Here’s a link to Gravity Force which is a fun way to burn carbs.

YOU HATE EXERCISE 
What better way to exercise than to do an activity that doesn’t feel like repetitive movements that hurt way too much and feel uncomfortable. So I took to Twitter to hear what you had to say about this and 62% said that you hate exercise.

My mum always told me to do what you’re passionate about or it will not last or persevere. Well… Mummy doesn’t lie. Gym Managers say that there is a spike in attendance between the months of January to March as everyone is trying to recover from The Festive Season. However, Attendance always declines as the weather starts to heat up. You could say everyone’s at the Beach or something but I reckon the inconsistency is due to lack of interest- More people rather live with their ‘muffin top’ bellies than do one more push up and quite frankly, I don’t blame them!


YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO CHANGE YOUR DIET 
A Bikini A Day Co-founder, Natasha Oakley said in this months’ Women’s Health Magazine that in order to achieve the best results, you need to alter your diet intake. The popular ones are Carb-free diets or Protein based diets for those trying to develop lean muscle for Summer16. 
YOU SIMPLY CAN’T AFFORD IT
The cost of Gym memberships are a lot of money to spend if you have not been consistent. For a standard Gym Membership, you’re looking at about £25 per month. To add this bill to all the other monthly expenses that you accumulate + the amount of time you have to spare for a single Gym session = Woman Down!

The point of this blog is not to deter you from getting fit, but to challenge you to consider new innovative ways to exercise without allowing your lifestyle to suffer. If you do prefer a more systematic method to fitness, all power to you. If not, then I hope this inspires you.
